Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange strategy built around -1/-1 counters, wither, and the blight mechanic. Commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, the deck turns every -1/-1 counter placed on friendly creatures into fresh card advantage while punishing opponents with life loss whenever their creatures receive counters. The game plan focuses on deploying early synergy pieces like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Devoted Druid, and Nest of Scarabs, then dropping Auntie Ool on curve to fuel explosive card draw. In the mid-game, asymmetric lock and attrition pieces such as Kulrath Knight, Maha, Its Feathers Night, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician seize total control of creature combat. Victory is achieved through overwhelming deathtouch token swarms, continuous group drain via Obelisk Spider and Lasting Tarfire, or recurring wither wipes. While the deck possesses massive card velocity and versatile permanent interaction, its main vulnerabilities lie in a lack of stack countermagic and vulnerability to non-damage board sweepers.
