Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Rakdos aristocrats combo deck built around The Great Goblin. The strategy focuses on accelerating through the early turns using dense 0–1 CMC mana rocks and rituals to assemble a lethal persist loop by Turn 3. The primary win condition combines a persist creature like Putrid Goblin or Murderous Redcap, a free sacrifice outlet like Skirk Prospector or Phyrexian Altar, and a counter negation effect such as First Day of Class or Thran Vigil. When Putrid Goblin dies and returns with counters cancelled, The Great Goblin deals 2 damage per counter placed, burning out the entire table in a single turn. Powerful tutors, notably Goblin Recruiter, provide extreme consistency by ordering all required Goblin pieces on top of the library. A dedicated suite of red redirection and countermagic protects the combo attempt from interaction.
