Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir Flash and Faerie Kindred tempo deck commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. The game plan operates almost entirely at instant speed during opponents' turns. By deploying cheap mana acceleration on early turns, the deck casts Alela on Turn 3 or 4 while leaving mana open for interaction. Every first spell cast on an opponent's turn generates a 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue token. Connecting with these flying creatures triggers Alela's goad ability, forcing opposing threats to attack each other and keeping you safe. Card advantage engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp, Nymris, Oona's Trickster, and Enduring Curiosity keep your hand full of free counterspells and spot removal. The deck finishes games around Turn 8 by turning the wide Faerie board into 4/4 Dragons with Shadow Puppeteers or taking extra turns via Notorious Throng.
