Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest is a spellslinger commander whose combat trigger converts the number of legendary Wizards you control into a free instant or sorcery each turn. The deck works by developing cheap legendary Wizards - Kaza, Baral, Kykar, Vivi - then free-casting extra turns, recursion, or card advantage through Gandalf. The primary win is the deterministic Niv-Mizzet loop: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind plus Niv-Mizzet, Visionary (or Curiosity) turns any draw into unlimited damage. Secondary paths are large X spells like Crackle with Power, an Insurrection endgame, and a go-wide Wizard beatdown. There is no hidden commander; the list is built to maximize Gandalf's X, with the two Niv-Mizzets serving as backup engines and the actual kill condition.
