Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck is a high-synergy Grixis wheel strategy designed to turn symmetrical card draw into lethal asymmetric damage. The deck accelerates through a dense package of two-mana artifacts to establish a draw punisher—such as Nekusar, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, or Underworld Dreams—by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it transitions into critical onset by resolving high-impact wheel spells like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, or Teferi's Puzzle Box. These effects deal massive noncombat damage across all opponents while stripping away carefully sculpted hands. Damage amplifiers such as Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph, and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might accelerate this clock, enabling table-wide eliminations on Turn 6. Supported by a robust suite of efficient counterspells, low-cost sweepers, and the explosive mana generation of Waste Not, the deck consistently applies overwhelming pressure across the entire table.
