Deck overview

This Grixis Bolas planeswalker deck is a slow-control engine built around the commander's transform to Nicol Bolas, the Arisen. The front face is a discard spell with flying; the back face is the real payoff, drawing cards, removing creatures, and enabling ultimates. The primary plan is to strip hands with discard, stall combat with wraths and No Mercy, then assemble Ichormoon Gauntlet and The Chain Veil to proliferate planeswalkers into ultimates. Secondary paths include Torment of Hailfire for huge X, and Field of the Dead zombies plus The Scarab God. The hidden commander is Ichormoon Gauntlet: it turns every planeswalker into a proliferate engine and provides an extra-turn ultimate.
