Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis control build centered around Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy revolves around symmetrical discard effects turned entirely asymmetrical through powerful payoffs. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost artifacts to deploy Kefka on Turn 4, immediately forcing all players to discard while drawing fresh cards based on the distinct card types discarded. As the mid-game develops, the deck suppresses opposing hands and resources using cards like Painful Quandary, Syphon Mind, Ashiok, Dream Render, and Notion Thief. Payoffs such as Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not convert every discarded card into direct damage, mana, and zombie tokens. The deck finishes games around Turn 8 through accumulated life-drain triggers, massive mana sinks like Torment of Hailfire and Cut // Ribbons, or a compact infinite combo between Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. An elite suite of free and efficient interaction protects this game plan reliably.
