Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a life-as-a-resource attrition build. Verrak, Warped Sengir doubles every activated ability that costs life, turning Greed, Erebos, War Room, Street Wraith, and reanimation activations into extra cards and recursion. The primary plan is to spend life freely to draw, keep a buffer through Soul Warden effects and lifelink, then drain all opponents with repeated Gray Merchant of Asphodel and other pinging triggers. Secondary paths include a reanimator package with Chainer and Priest of Fell Rites, a token/combat plan with Lunar Convocation and Felidar Retreat, and a mana-dump finish with Torment of Hailfire. Verrak is the engine, not a hidden commander; the deck is built entirely to maximize his copying ability.
