Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mardu Vampire tribal aggro strategy led by Edgar Markov. It harnesses Edgar's eminence ability from the command zone to generate a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, rapidly multiplying board presence without extra mana investment. The primary game plan develops a wide creature presence on Turns 1 through 3, introduces decisive damage amplification on Turn 4 via cards like Shared Animosity, Sanctum Seeker, or Stromkirk Captain, and eliminates opponents sequentially through combat between Turns 4 and 6. Because the primary token engine rests safely in the command zone, the deck recovers quickly from sweepers by deploying cheap follow-up creatures. While the deck boasts high combat speed and asymmetric board clears such as Olivia's Wrath and Ruinous Ultimatum, it lacks fast mana ramp, instant stack interaction, and tutor consistency, leaving its swarms vulnerable to timely mass removal.
