Deck overview

Loki, the Deceiver leads a Grixis Villain typal deck centered on combat aggression, connive card filtering, and token duplication. The deck curves out low-cost Villains on turns two and three to establish a board presence before deploying Loki on turn four. On turn five, Loki attacks to clone a key Villain, triggering entry, attack, and combat damage abilities while drawing extra cards whenever Villains connect. The strategy scales rapidly into turns six and seven by dropping high-impact anthems and evasive threats like The Squadron Sinister, Titania, Proud Pummeler, and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, creating massive attacking boards with flying, menace, and melee bonuses. Extensive connive triggers and mayhem mechanics fuel graveyard reanimation spells such as Behold the Sinister Six! to rebuild boards after sweepers. While the deck boasts robust midrange card flow and resilient graveyard options, it lacks instant-speed countermagic and dedicated stack protection, making it reliant on overwhelming combat tempo to close out games.
