Azula by Manbeard

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis combat spellslinger deck built around Fire Lord Azula. The plan is to attack with Azula, generate red mana from firebending, and cast spells during combat so her trigger copies each one. A dense flash package (Leyline of Anticipation, High Fae Trickster, Valley Floodcaller, Borne Upon a Wind, Mai and Zuko) turns the combat step into a second main phase full of doubled draw, removal, and burn. Supporting firebenders (Zuko, Firebending Master, Ozai, the Phoenix King, Sozin's Comet, Firebender Ascension) explode mana mid-combat, while equipment (Brotherhood Regalia, Sword of Feast and Famine, Mithril Coat) keeps Azula connecting. The deck wins through amplified combat damage, copied burn, and haymakers like Etali, Primal Storm, Call Forth the Tempest, and Fated Firepower rather than infinite combos. A premium free-interaction suite protects the attack window.
