Anhelo by Isanx

Format: Commander

Commander: Anhelo, the Painter

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Anhelo, the Painter leads a Grixis spellslinger deck that copies its first instant or sorcery each turn by sacrificing a 2-power creature. The deck generates decayed Zombies and other tokens through Jadar, Ghoulish Procession, and Lagomos to pay casualty, then extracts value from looting and Treasure spells. Its primary win is the Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame infinite hasty copies, with secondary wins via large X spells like Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power, and Exsanguinate fueled by Treasures from Professional Face-Breaker, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Pitiless Plunderer. Talrand and Storm-Kiln Artist act as hidden engines that reward every instant and sorcery.
