Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black "life as a resource" deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, who converts life directly into black mana. The primary plan is to deploy K'rrik early - paying life for his phyrexian mana symbols - then chain black spells nearly free of mana cost. The main win condition is the redundant life-drain loop formed by Exquisite Blood pairing with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror: five interchangeable pieces that create an infinite drain once sparked by any life-gain or life-loss trigger. Backup wins include Aetherflux Reservoir life-gain sniping, massive X-spells like Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire powered by Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion drain. A deep tutor suite (Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Grim Tutor, Diabolic Intent) and heavy recursion (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Living Death, Chainer, Dementia Master) give the deck strong consistency and resilience.
