Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck executes a classic Mardu Aikido and political control strategy. It accelerates in the opening turns using efficient two-mana mana rocks, establishing early board friction with tax and deterrent pieces like Authority of the Consuls, Blind Obedience, and Ghostly Prison. On Turn 4, it deploys Queen Marchesa to introduce the Monarch mechanic, generating continuous card advantage while daring opponents to attack into deathtouch blockers and punishing retributions like No Mercy. The deck maintains complete control over the board through an elite instant-speed interaction suite and the versatile Sunforger engine. Rather than racing for fast combo kills, it weaponizes opponents' aggression using goad effects like Disrupt Decorum and lethal combat reversals like Inkshield, Deflecting Palm, and Comeuppance. It ultimately closes games on Turn 9 through scaling Monarch Court attrition and overwhelming evasive token armies.
