Deck overview

This is a Rakdos group-slug deck helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, built to punish every axis of the game - drawing cards, casting spells, tapping lands, and gaining life - until the table bleeds out. Valgavoth converts each opponent's first life-loss event per turn into a card and a +1/+1 counter, turning the deck's constant pings into sustained card advantage and a growing flying beater. The core is a dense web of pain permanents: Underworld Dreams, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Orcish Bowmasters tax draws; Manabarbs, Sulfuric Vortex, and Roiling Vortex tax lands and life gain; Rug of Smothering, Kaervek the Merciless, and The Lord of Pain punish spellcasting. Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might multiply every ping into a chunk. There is no infinite combo - the deck wins by attrition, grinding three opponents down over many turns while Damnation and Toxic Deluge reset the board.
