Assassin Voltron by JBBARN

Format: Commander

Commander: Basim Ibn Ishaq

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Basim Ibn Ishaq is a Dimir historic-artifact engine: nearly every historic spell in the deck (which is most of it - artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas) replaces itself with a card and makes the Commander unblockable for the turn. The primary plan is Equipment Voltron: cheap artifacts build a critical mass for Cranial Plating and Nettlecyst, while Fireshrieker/Genji Glove/Leyline Axe turn a single unblocked swing into a lethal commander-damage hit. Ramses, Assassin Lord is the deck's best multiplier - because Basim is an Assassin, one lethal hit against a single opponent wins the entire game. Secondary beats come from Ezio, Blade of Vengeance, a re-equipped Germ token, or Urza, Lord High Artificer turning every artifact into mana for huge artifact turns. The shell is supported by a counter-heavy interaction suite (six counterspells) and a dense draw engine, making this a mid-speed, high-card-quality deck that pressures one opponent at a time.
