Deck overview

This Grixis deck is piloted by Edea, Possessed Sorceress, focusing on temporary creature theft, sacrifice value, and devastating extra combat steps. The deck ramps efficiently in the early turns to deploy Edea on turn 4. Because Edea triggers at the beginning of each combat phase on your turn, she synergizes powerfully with extra-combat enablers such as Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Port Razer, and Bloodthirster. Each new combat step allows Edea to steal another opposing creature, removing key blockers and turning an opponent's army against the table. Stolen creatures that die are returned to their owners while drawing you cards, creating massive card advantage when paired with sacrifice outlets like Goblin Bombardment and Warren Soultrader. The deck defends its board with efficient free and cheap interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick, closing out games on turns 6 to 7 with mass theft effects or multi-combat strikes.
