Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and Aristocrats deck commanded by Vren, the Relentless. Its game plan revolves around casting symmetrical sacrifice spells to wipe opposing boards while leveraging Vren's replacement ability to exile those creatures. At each end step, Vren turns those exiles into mutually scaling Rat tokens that quickly grow into lethal threats. Supported by a lean package of countermagic and spot removal, the deck denies opposing board development and graveyard strategies. Once a critical mass of Rats is generated, the deck closes the game via massive combat swings or through supplementary drain triggers from cards like Mirkwood Bats and Ayara, First of Locthwain. While resilient against creature-centric decks, it remains vulnerable to sweepers and resolved noncreature permanents.
