Deck overview

This Naya deck centers on Ultra Magnus, Tactician, using his More Than Meets the Eye alternate casting cost to hit the battlefield on Turn 4 in Vehicle form. He attacks immediately with haste to trigger Formidable, converting into his Robot side at end of combat. On Turn 5, Magnus attacks to cheat massive artifact creatures—such as Blightsteel Colossus, Cybermen Squadron, and Krang, Utrom Warlord—directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Supported by redundant cheat outlets like Doors of Durin and Oviya, Automech Artisan, the deck generates enormous combat pressure while bypassing high casting costs. A dense suite of premium protection spells, including Deflecting Swat, Teferi's Protection, and Heroic Intervention, keeps the engine intact through opponent interaction, while asymmetric removal like Organic Extinction clears opposing defenses.
