Deck overview

This Gruul deck is an explosive big-mana stompy strategy built around Etali, Primal Conqueror. The primary game plan focuses on rapid early ramp using 1-mana dorks, land-fetching sorceries, and cost reducers to cast Etali ahead of curve by Turn 4. Upon entering the battlefield, Etali immediately triggers to cast up to four free nonland spells from all players' libraries. The deck magnifies this overwhelming card advantage using a deep suite of temporary clone spells, blink effects, and trigger multipliers like Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink, and Panharmonicon. Each additional trigger generates exponential board presence and card velocity. The deck closes out games either by overwhelming the table with large stolen boards and token copies or by transforming Etali into Etali, Primal Sickness, an 11/11 indestructible trampler that eliminates opponents in a single swing via poison counters. While highly explosive and resilient to countermagic thanks to redundancy, it relies on proactive threats over defensive interaction.
