Deck overview

Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph commands an aggressive Izzet spellslinger burn deck that turns cheap cantrips into table-wide lethal damage. The core game plan deploys an early 2-mana pinger such as Firebrand Archer or Kessig Flamebreather, casts Ghyrson on Turn 3, and connects a damage-triggered card draw engine like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Turn 4. Because Ghyrson adds 2 damage whenever another source deals exactly 1 damage, every single cantrip deals 3 damage to each opponent (9 total table damage) while drawing up to 3 cards. High cantrip density keeps mana efficient and fuels Treasure engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Vivi Ornitier to sustain storm-like turns that burn opponents out by Turn 5. Free counterspells like Fierce Guardianship and Force of Will protect critical setup windows, while Niv-Mizzet, Parun offers a compact infinite backup combo.
