Deck overview

This is a Doran, Besieged by Time Treefolk midrange deck. It accelerates with cheap land-search spells, mana creatures, cost reducers, and Sol Ring, then deploys creatures whose toughness greatly exceeds their power. Doran, Besieged by Time, Ancient Lumberknot, and Assault Formation turn that toughness into combat damage, while Garruk's Uprising supplies trample. The deck can assemble a threatening board around turns 6–7 and usually needs attacks on turns 7, 8, and 9 to eliminate the table. Guardian Project, Ohran Frostfang, Rishkar's Expertise, and The Great Henge provide strong card flow when the board is established. Betor, Kin to All is a powerful alternative payoff, but its 40-toughness condition and five-mana cost make it less reliable than combat. Removal and protection are present, but the deck has little stack interaction and no recurring denial. Its main weaknesses are exposure to board wipes, limited tutoring, and the time needed to rebuild after losing its commander.
