Commander: Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Selesnya lifegain-and-+1/+1-counters deck that plays a compact combo core underneath a midrange counter shell. Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn is a potent end-step engine: incidental life from Soul Warden, Essence Warden, and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun turns into distributed +1/+1 counters across the board. The real teeth, however, are the overlapping combo lines: Devoted Druid + Vizier of Remedies generates infinite green mana; Protean Hulk + Ashnod's Altar assembles the kill from a single death trigger; and Heliod, Sun-Crowned or Archangel of Thune can convert life gain into infinite Walking Ballista pings. Aetherflux Reservoir provides an alternate life-payoff finish, while The Ozolith, Doubling Season, and Hardened Scales let the counter plan grind through disruption.
