yurlok land bang by Baron_Buchanan

Format: Commander

Commander: Yurlok of Scorch Thrash

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Yurlok of Scorch Thrash leads a Jund land-punishment and mana-burn deck. The primary plan is to punish every land tap and landfall with enchantments such as Manabarbs, Burning Earth, Ankh of Mishra, and Overabundance, while Yurlok's activated ability forces opponents to float mana they cannot spend, converting unspent mana into life loss. Secondary paths include draining with Sulfuric Vortex, Forsaken Wastes, and Mogis, plus large haymakers like Hellkite Overlord, Vorinclex, and The Coming of Galactus. The commander is a drain engine rather than a required combo piece; the deck can still win through enchantment damage and big creatures if Yurlok is removed. The hidden commander is Ozai, the Phoenix King, who converts all unspent mana into red and gains flying and indestructible with six or more unspent mana, turning Yurlok's mana gifts into a massive evasive threat.
