Deck overview

This deck is a Jund sacrifice and attrition engine helmed by Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire. The primary strategy focuses on accelerating mana on turns 1 through 3 using efficient dorks, rocks, and enchantments to deploy Vaevictis on turn 4. Once Vaevictis attacks on turn 5, topdeck manipulation tools such as Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and Sylvan Library guarantee that each attack sacrifices an expendable token to cheat a devastating permanent into play—such as Archon of Cruelty, It That Betrays, or Tergrid, God of Fright—while forcing each opponent to sacrifice their best permanent. The deck backs this up with asymmetric stax pieces like Grave Pact, Braids, Cabal Minion, and Price of Glory, starving opponents of board presence while generating overwhelming combat pressure. Opponents face relentless attrition across multiple turns until lethal combat finishes the game around turn 8.
