Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Control Combo build piloted by Talion, the Kindly Lord. It blends an efficient compact win condition with persistent card advantage and taxing attrition. In the early turns, the deck establishes fast mana acceleration and deploys Talion, typically naming two to punish popular early-game spells, mana rocks, and utility creatures. As opponents trigger Talion's ability, the resulting steady card flow fuels countermagic and sculpts a winning hand. The primary win condition is the premier combination of Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, which cleanly exiles the library to secure an instant game victory on Turn 4. Supporting packages feature proactive disruption such as Cursed Totem, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Notion Thief, alongside backup win lines powered by Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Doomsday. Although running casual draw-drain payoffs and a basic-heavy land base, the deck maintains high lethality through redundant tutors, cheap protection, and low-exposure execution.
