New Untitled Deck by tjmcmtg

Format: Commander

Commander: Shalai and Hallar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shalai and Hallar is the engine and payoff of a Naya +1/+1 counter deck that converts every counter placed on a creature into direct damage. The plan is to land the commander on curve, then stack counter multipliers like Branching Evolution, Conclave Mentor, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire alongside token engines such as Scurry Oak, Herd Baloth, Basking Broodscale, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, and Adeline, Resplendent Cathar. The cleanest kill is Cathars' Crusade paired with one of the counter-to-token creatures, which goes infinite and lets the commander burn the entire table. Combat is the backup: Kalonian Hydra, Thromok the Insatiable, and Angrath's Marauders create enormous boards, finished by Chandra's Ignition or Akroma's Will. The deck is threat-dense and has a comfortable mana base, but it is thin on card draw and stack interaction.
