Deck overview

This is a toughness-matters Abzan midrange deck helmed by Felothar the Steadfast. The core plan is to deploy a board of high-toughness defender walls, then use Felothar - backed by redundancy in Assault Formation, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, The Kingpin of Crime, and Bedrock Tortoise - to let those walls attack for their toughness instead of their power. Felothar doubles as a powerful command-zone draw engine, sacrificing a 0-power wall to draw cards equal to its toughness with no discard. The deck closes games through massive toughness-based combat, Betor, Kin to All's 40-toughness life-halving trigger amplified by Wound Reflection, and the two-card Tree of Perdition + Triskaidekaphobia kill. It is a grindy, value-oriented deck with a dense ramp package and a resilient wall suite.
