Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The strategy centers on deploying Vivi early and leveraging its dual abilities: growing power while pinging each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, and converting that accumulated power directly into burst mana with its {0} activated ability. The deck cycles through a dense suite of 1-mana cantrips and fast rituals, rapidly inflating storm count and mana reserves. Card draw engines such as Curiosity—which triggers three times per cast due to Vivi's global damage—and Archmage Emeritus ensure the hand remains full throughout the combo turn. Secondary burn engines like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph accelerate damage output to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. A robust package of free and low-cost countermagic (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain) reliably protects the commander and shields the decisive storm turn from opposing disruption.
