Deck overview

This Orzhov Angel tribal deck centers on Liesa, Forgotten Archangel, combining evasive flying creatures, life gain synergies, and asymmetric creature recursion. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and low-cost enablers such as Giada, Font of Hope, Bishop of Wings, and Righteous Valkyrie. Once established, the deck transitions into the midgame by compounding power through +1/+1 counters, token engines like Resplendent Angel and Valkyrie Harbinger, and anthem effects from lords like Lyra Dawnbringer. Liesa, Forgotten Archangel serves as both protection and disruption, returning fallen nontoken Angels to hand at the next end step while exiling opposing creatures that die. The primary win condition is closing the game through overwhelming aerial combat damage across multiple rotations. While the deck maintains high creature quality and targeted removal like Swords to Plowshares and Anguished Unmaking, its reliance on multi-turn combat without haste leaves it exposed to sweepers.
