Deck overview

This is a Grixis discard-and-connive Villain tribal deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The plan is to deploy Villains, churn through the library with looting and connive effects, and convert every discard into value: Bone Miser makes Zombies and mana, Monument to Endurance draws cards and makes Treasures, Archfiend of Ifnir shrinks opposing boards, and the commander himself drains 2 life from each opponent whenever a land is discarded. The graveyard becomes a second hand via Underworld Breach, Reanimate, Helmut Zemo, Mastermind, and Norman Osborn // Green Goblin. The deck closes games either through the compact self-mill combo of Demonic Consultation or Doomsday with Doctor Doom, Unrivaled, or through combat: Living Laser's hasty copies, Helm of the Host, and Multiversal Incursion turn a developed Villain board into a table kill. The commander is a powerful value engine rather than a combo piece.
