Deck overview

This Abzan deck centers on Betor, Ancestor's Voice, blending lifegain synergy, graveyard reanimation, and an instant-kill combo finish. Early turns focus on accelerating mana via two-drop artifacts and filling the graveyard with enablers like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Ripples of Undeath. Once deployed, Betor leverages life-payment effects from cards like Black Market Connections and painlands to reanimate fallen creatures while distributing massive +1/+1 counters from lifegain triggers. The primary win condition revolves around pairing Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity, generating an infinite life-drain loop that immediately eliminates the entire table. Robust single-target removal keeps opposing threats in check, while proactive protection pieces such as Benevolent Bodyguard, Selfless Spirit, and Dragonlord Dromoka ensure your combo pieces resolve and execute safely. If the combo is disrupted, the deck pivots seamlessly into overwhelming combat pressure powered by oversized reanimated threats and Eerie Ultimatum.
