Breena, the Demagogue

Format: Commander

Commander: Breena, the Demagogue

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov political-pillowfort deck built around Breena, the Demagogue. Breena rewards the table for attacking each other by giving the attacker a card and feeding +1/+1 counters to your creatures, while Ghostly Prison, Archon of Absolution, Windborn Muse, and the Vow of Duty/Vow of Malice/Vow of Torment auras make attacking you painful. Meanwhile, Mangara, the Diplomat, Search the Premises, and Monumental Henge keep your hand full, and Wishclaw Talisman finds the key pieces. The primary win condition is a grind: Luminarch Ascension produces 4/4 Angel tokens, Shadrix Silverquill and Duelist's Heritage double up damage, and Kaya, Intangible Slayer drains all opponents while the pillowfort runs out the clock. There are no infinite combos; games are won through incremental card advantage, instant-speed protection, and evasive flyers.
