Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic +1/+1 counter deck built around The Astonishing Ant-Man. The commander grows every time you draw a card and then converts all of those counters into a swarm of Insect tokens, while a dense package of draw-trigger creatures and counter doublers makes every draw more powerful than the last. The core loop is to land an early draw engine such as Nadir Kraken or Fathom Mage, stack counters with Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season, then either overrun with evasive modified creatures or pivot to a combo finish. Primary win conditions include the Ivy Lane Denizen loop with Scurry Oak or Herd Baloth, the independent Simic Ascendancy clock, and Twenty-Toed Toad as an alternate win. A value-and-tokens midrange deck with strong redundancy but no tutor package, it rewards sequencing draw triggers into counter amplification.
