Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie Tribal and Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. It establishes an early board of low-cost Zombies and mana rocks before deploying Wilhelt on Turn 4 to initiate a steady card-draw and decayed-token generation engine. The deck scales through high functional redundancy in Zombie lords such as Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Diregraf Captain, alongside token multipliers like Necroduality and Diregraf Colossus. Critical onset occurs around Turn 6 with impactful board anchors like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Grave Titan, or Bolas's Citadel, threatening table elimination by Turn 8 via combined combat damage and aristocrat life drain. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to death triggers and graveyard recursion, the deck is vulnerable to mass exile wipes and dedicated graveyard hate due to limited cheap countermagic and stack protection.
