Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Mono-Black Reanimator strategy commanded by Baron Helmut Zemo. The game plan revolves around rapidly stocking the graveyard with high-mana-value, black-pip-dense permanents and spells through self-mill, discard, and connive triggers. Once 15 or more black mana symbols reside in the graveyard, Baron Helmut Zemo attacks to activate his boast ability, copying those cards and casting up to three of them for free. Game-ending bombs such as Rise of the Dark Realms, Peer into the Abyss, Breach the Multiverse, and Doomsday Excruciator flood the battlefield with massive threats and drain the table via Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Even without the commander, extensive tutoring and redundant reanimation spells allow the deck to cheat devastating Demons like Vilis, Broker of Blood and Hoarding Broodlord directly into play as early as turns 3 to 4.
