Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal reanimator strategy commanded by Varina, Lich Queen. The game plan focuses on deploying low-cost Zombie creatures early, casting Varina on turn 3 or 4, and attacking to dig aggressively through the library with her looting trigger. Discarded cards fuel both graveyard reanimation targets and Varina's ability to exile cards to create fresh Zombie tokens. By turn 6, the deck establishes an overwhelming board state by deploying powerful lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron, granting evasion with On Wings of Gold or Hordewing Skaab, and locking down opposing creatures with Dictate of Erebos and Noxious Ghoul. Life loss engines like Diregraf Captain and The Scarab God burn down opposing life totals while combat damage closes out the game by turn 8. High tutor density and deep looting ensure consistent execution across every stage.
