Commander: Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic leads a Dimir mill-and-reanimator deck. The primary plan is to accelerate milling with Bruvac the Grandiloquent and finish with a kicked Maddening Cacophony; Taskmaster acts as a flexible copy engine, usually copying Bruvac or a big graveyard threat each turn. Secondary paths include reanimating Fleet Swallower, Terisian Mindbreaker, or It That Betrays, plus a Syr Konrad / Mindcrank damage-mill loop. The commander can also become an unblockable Mindskinner or copy opposing wincons. The deck has no single hidden commander; its true engine is the Bruvac / mill-doubling channel. Both Taskmaster's modes (copy a battlefield creature or a graveyard creature) are relevant, but the build is optimized for him to copy Bruvac and legend-rule-safe copies.
