Deck overview

This is an aggressive Golgari token-swarm deck helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer, built around one central tension: the more creatures you control, the cheaper your commander and every instant/sorcery in the deck become. The early game is dedicated to mana dorks and token generation; once the board is full, Witherbloom, the Balancer turns massive X-spells like Torment of Hailfire and Finale of Devastation into near-free finishers. The deck also contains a compact infinite loop involving Sprout Swarm, a tap-for-any-color enabler, and the commander's affinity ability. Secondary engines like Tendershoot Dryad, Scute Swarm, Bitterblossom, and Parallel Lives provide explosive token volume, while Mirkwood Bats and Witherbloom Apprentice convert that volume directly into life loss.
