Xyris GH by WillDaBeast98

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Temur deck centers on Xyris, the Writhing Storm, leveraging her ability to generate 1/1 Snake tokens whenever an opponent draws an extra card. The deck is packed with symmetrical draw effects - Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, Rites of Flourishing, Temple Bell, and many more - to force repeated draws, rapidly amassing a wide token army. Xyris herself draws cards when she deals combat damage, creating even more tokens. The primary win condition is a massive combat swing, powered by the token pump from Shared Animosity or a game-ending Overrun. A secondary axis uses Laboratory Maniac alongside the many X-draw spells (Prosperity, Skyscribing, Finale of Revelation) to win through self-mill, though this is slower. The deck leans heavily on its commander and symmetrical draw engines; without the snake generator, the plan stalls badly.
