Deck overview

This Gruul deck ramps rapidly into Etali, Primal Conqueror to cheat massive spells into play from every player's library. Using a dense package of low-cost mana dorks and land ramp, it reliably casts its seven-mana commander on Turn 4. Upon entering the battlefield, Etali casts four nonland spells for free, immediately establishing an overwhelming board state. The deck amplifies this advantage through token copy engines like Blade of Selves, Delina, Wild Mage, and Rionya, Fire Dancer, repeatedly triggering Etali's ability. Secondary burn engines like Passionate Archaeologist and Keeper of Secrets weaponize spells cast from exile, while Etali's Phyrexian back face, Etali, Primal Sickness, presents an 11/11 trampling infect threat. Strong anti-counter magic and efficient hexproof spells safeguard the commander during crucial turns.
