Gruul Toph Earthbending Counters by HawthornVine

Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, Greatest Earthbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, Greatest Earthbender leads a Gruul lands-matter deck that animates lands with +1/+1 counters and wins by attacking with double-striking land creatures. The primary plan is to build an exponential board: earthbend effects make huge land creatures, counter-doubling enchantments and landfall make them bigger, and Toph doubles their combat damage. Secondary paths are the Ashaya + Bumi, Unleashed extra-combat loop and pump finishers like Overwhelming Stampede. The deck also runs a hidden Avatar Kyoshi engine that draws cards, then transforms into a hexproof/trample mana and anthem land. It is a linear, resilient combat deck with light interactive backup.
