Muddle by Subble

Format: Commander

Commander: Muddle, the Ever-Changing

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck is helmed by Muddle, the Ever-Changing, a commander that turns every instant or sorcery into a copy effect with myriad. The primary game plan is to cast Muddle, then use cheap instants and sorceries to transform it into a copy of a powerful nonlegendary creature-such as Goldspan Dragon, Professional Face-Breaker, or a Super State-enchanted beater-and attack with myriad tokens to spread damage across all opponents. The deck leans heavily on combat damage amplification via Gratuitous Violence, Bulk Up, and Infuriate, and can also generate overwhelming token swarms with Rionya, Fire Dancer, Twinflame, and Redoubled Stormsinger. Secondary win conditions include storming off with Prismari, the Inspiration or cascading into free spells with Improvisation Capstone. The strategy is explosive but inconsistent, relying on drawing the right pieces without robust tutoring.
