Ozzet Itters

Format: Commander

Commander: Muddle, the Ever-Changing

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a UR spells-and-Otters deck that converts every instant/sorcery into assets: prowess bodies, pings, treasures, and copies. Muddle, the Ever-Changing is not a value engine; it is a combat multiplier that copies a nonlegendary threat (usually Goldspan Dragon or Eon Frolicker) and attacks with myriad for a large spread of damage. The secondary path is a spell-copy storm plan built around Prismari, the Inspiration as the hidden commander, with Alania, Divergent Storm and Kitsa, Otterball Elite providing additional copying. The deck wins incrementally through repeated Muddle attacks and pinger triggers, or explosively by kicked Rite of Replication on a Muddle/Goldspan copy. Setup is slow and tutor-less, so games typically extend to turns 9-10.
