Kefka 5 by bobbylight53

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Grixis turbo-combo/control deck where Kefka, Court Mage is an optional value engine rather than the combo's core. The primary plan is to assemble Thassa's Oracle with either Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, using the deck's dense ritual package and tutor suite to do it ahead of the table. The backup channel is a Underworld Breach/Lion's Eye Diamond/Brain Freeze storm-mill line, with Wheel of Fortune keeping the loop fed. The front face of Kefka acts as a repeatable discard-and-draw engine, especially when doubled by Harmonic Prodigy; the back face, Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, turns opponent life loss from Orcish Bowmasters and Vivi Ornitier into enormous quantities of cards. The deck can win with Kefka never leaving the command zone.
