Commander: Betor, Ancestor's Voice

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Abzan lifegain and +1/+1-counter deck built around Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The commander converts each turn's life gained into counters and each life lost into reanimation, creating a self-sustaining engine. The deck pairs this with drain outlets Vito and Enduring Tenacity, life-doubling effects (Alhammarret's Archive, Rhox Faithmender, The Wind Crystal), and recursion spells. Secondary path is a giant lifelink creature or wide board, finished with Akroma's Will or Rogue's Passage. The deck is robust to wraths due to heavy recursion and protection, but it lacks fast combo finishes and relies on incremental gains.
