Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools to create an efficient, synergistic resource engine. Yoshimaru provides an immediate one-mana legendary creature that benefits from the deck's numerous legendary permanents and serves as prime sacrifice fodder. Tevesh Szat sits in the command zone as a continuous card draw and token generator. The deck suppresses fast combo and spell-heavy opponents using potent hatebears such as Drannith Magistrate, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Deafening Silence. As opponents are slowed down, the deck accumulates sacrifice outlets like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Warren Soultrader alongside drain pieces like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. Protected by premier silence and defense spells like Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos, the deck grinds down opposing life totals to secure a steady, attrition-based victory.
