Deck overview

This mono-blue combo-control deck uses Vnwxt, Verbose Host to create an overwhelming card advantage engine through the Start your engines mechanic. The primary strategy opens with a low-cost unblockable attacker on Turn 1 to consistently trigger speed increases on Turns 2, 3, and 4. Once Max Speed (4) is reached, Vnwxt permanently doubles every card drawn, turning basic cantrips and draw spells into massive card surges. With no maximum hand size, the deck rapidly accumulates a full grip of counterspells and combo pieces. On Turn 5, it deploys Psychosis Crawler or alternate win conditions like Laboratory Maniac and Triskaidekaphile. On Turn 6, resolving explosive hand-cycling spells such as Tolarian Winds or Whirlpool Rider draws dozens of cards in a single burst, draining all opponents simultaneously for lethal damage. A robust suite of cheap countermagic and bounce spells protects the combo and disrupts opposing threats.
