Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis typal strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It focuses on assembling an aggressive army of Villains that continuously grow and filter cards through the connive mechanic. As creatures connive, nonland discards bolster attackers with +1/+1 counters while land discards trigger the commander's ability to drain 2 life from each opponent. The deck leverages key mid-game payoffs such as Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Titania, Proud Pummeler, and The Squadron Sinister to grant evasion, haste, and massive stat boosts, threatening lethal combat damage by Turn 6. While the deck features strong internal engine redundancy and resilient alternate threats like Ultron, Unlimited and Loki, the Deceiver, its interactive suite is largely tied to sorcery-speed permanents and lacks instant-speed stack interaction or heavy protection.
