Deck overview

This Wort, the Raidmother deck is a focused Gruul spellslinger and storm combo deck that turns low-cost creature fodder into doubled spell velocity. By deploying efficient ramp pieces on early turns, the deck casts Wort ahead of curve on Turn 4, bringing along two Goblin tokens. On Turn 5, Wort taps these tokens to conspire high-yield mana rituals like Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser, and Seething Song, creating massive mana pools and deep card access. The resulting surplus feeds game-ending storm sequences powered by Stormsplitter, Guttersnipe, Elemental Eruption, or Underworld Breach. The deck protects its pivotal turns with efficient anti-countermagic such as Veil of Summer, Vexing Shusher, and Pyroblast. While lacking direct tutors for specific silver bullets, the high redundancy of rituals, draw spells, and storm payoffs ensures consistent explosive turns.
